NOTIFICATION NO. 32 (RE-2008)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, THE 19 AUGUST, 2008

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, the following amendments to Notification No.93 (RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 15.10.2007 and Notification No. 22 ( RE-2008)/2004-09, dated 3.7.2008 as amended from time to time:

(i) Consequently, the entries relating to Tariff Item HS Code 1006 10 10 against Sl. No. 45A in Notification No.93 (RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 15.10.2007 would be substituted as under with immediate effect:

(i) A certificate of registration from authorized State Seed certifying Agency that it is a registered Seed producer/dealer; and

(ii) Declaration that the export consignment of seeds has been chemically treated and is not fit for human consumption; and

2. Export packets will be labelled that seeds are treated with chemical insecticides and cannot be used for food or feed purposes.

2 (ii). Consequently, the entries relating to Tariff Item HS Code 1005 10 00 against Sl. No. 46B in Notification No. 22 (RE-2008)/2004-2009, dated 3.7.2008 would be substituted as under with immediate effect:
