The Government of India, through Notification No. 30 (RE-98)/97-02, dated November 10, 1998, amended the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items under Chapter 87. Specifically, it revised the policy for the import of off-highway dumpers, listed under Exim Code 870410 00, which are now classified as free for import. This change allows the import of such dumpers without restrictions, provided they comply with the relevant conditions. This notification aims to streamline the import process for these specific items under the Export and Import Policy for the period 1997-2002.
