NOTIFICATION NO. 28 (RE-2008)/2004-0209

NEW DELHI, DATED 5th AUGUST, 2008

S.O. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification No.22 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 3rd July, 2008, read with Notification No.24 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 18th July, 2008 and Notification No.25 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 21st July, 2008 regarding ban on export of maize:-

2. With immediate effect, following is added after Para 3 of Notification No.22 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 3rd July, 2008:-

“3.1 Ban on export of maize shall not be applicable to export of 25000 MTs of maize to be exported by M/s Emmsons International, New Delhi under United Nations’ World Food Programme to Kenya, Somalia and Burundi and is meant for United Nations’ humanitarian relief operations in these countries.”

3. This issues in public interest.
