NOTIFICATION NO. 21 (RE-99) 1997-2002

NEW D.0ELHI, 27th July, 1999

S.O (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby allows import of 50,000 M.T. of ” Maize (EXIM Code No. 100590 00.20 )” without a licence by manufacturers of Starch in all forms including derivatives, for the period up to 31-12-1999 subject to the following conditions:

1. The imports will be subject to actual user condition; and

2. Importers will be required to register their Import contracts/letter of Credit with NAFED, who shall also monitor actual imports. NAFED shall register such contracts /Letter of Credit based on recommendations from Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

This issues in Public Interest.
