NOTIFICATION NO. 19 (RE-2003)/2002-2007

NEW DELHI DATED THE 18th AUGUST,2003

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.1, 2.1 and 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 2002-2007 and as further amended vide Notification No.3 dated 31.03.2003:-

2. In Table B of Schedule 2 of the said ITC(HS), the following items at code No. 2614 and 2617 shall be made freely exportable and consequently the said entries shall be deleted.

Explanatory Notes

* Monazite is a mineral of rare earth phosphate and contains uranium and thorium. It is a prescribed substance and will be controlled as per the provisions of Atomic Energy Act, 1962.

** These minerals/substances contain uranium and/or thorium and will be dealt as prescribed substances as per the provisions of the Atomic Energy Act, 1962.
