On July 2, 1999, the Government of India issued Notification No. 15(RE-99) to amend the previous Notification No. 9(RE-99)/1997-2002, dated May 19, 1999. Under the revised guidelines, the phrase “and all its Provincial Branches” was added to paragraph 2(7) of the earlier notification. This amendment expands the scope of the notification to include all provincial branches. The change is effective from May 19, 1999, and aims to align the application of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, across various branches of relevant organizations. The notice was issued in the public interest to ensure consistent implementation of policy regulations across regions.

NEW DELHI, 2nd July,1999

S.O (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification of Government of India, Ministry of Commerce No. 9(RE 99)/1997-2002 dated the 19th May, 1999, namely, –

In the said notification, under (7) appearing in para 2 thereof, the following shall be added at the end:

“and all its Provincial Branches”.

2. This amendment shall be effective from 19.5.99.
