NOTIFICATION NO. 12 (RE-2000)/1997-2002
NEW DELHI: 28th April, 2000
S.O (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997 (RE-98) as amended from time to time, namely –
” A new Appendix IV to Schedule I of ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002, shall be annexed as per annexure A of this notification.”

ANNEXURE A TO NOTIFICATION
NO.12(RE-2000)/1997-2002

Import of Chemicals included in the Schedule 2 to the Chemical Weapons Convention of the United Nations, signed in Paris on 13-15 January, 1993 as under, is permitted only from the State parties to the Convention :
i. Amiton O,O-Diethyl S-[2-(diethylamino) ethyl] phosphorothiolate and corresponding alkylated or protonated salts
ii. PFIB: 1,1,3,3,3,-Pentafluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)1-propene
iii. BZ: 3- Quinuclidiny 1 benzilate (*)
iv. Chemicals, except for those listed in Schedule 1, containing a phosphorus atom to which is bonded one methyl, ethyl or propyl (normal or iso) group but not further carbon atoms.
e.g. Methylphosphonyl dichloride Dimethyle methylphosphonate Exemption:- Fonofos: O-Ethyl S-Phenyl ethylphosphonothiolothionate
v. N, N-Dialkyl (ME, Et, n-Pr or i-Pr) phosphoramidic dihalides
vi. Dialkyl (Me, Et, n-Pr or i-Pr) N, N-dialkyl (Me, Et, n-Pr or i-Pr)- phosphoramidates
vii. Arsenic trichloride
viii. 2,2-Diphenyl-2 hydroxyacetic acid
ix. Quinuclidine-3-ol
x. N,H-Dialkyl (Me, Et, n-Pr or i-Pr) aminoethyl-2-chlorides and corresponding protonated salts
xi. N,N-Dialkyl (Me, Et, n-Pr or i-Pr) aminoethane-2-ols and corresponding protonated salts
Exemptions: N, N-Dimethylaminoethanol and corresponding protonated salts N,N-Diethylaminoethanol and corresponding protonated salts
