Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has extended the “Free” import policy for Tur/Pigeon Peas (ITC(HS) Code 07136000) under the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. Previously allowed until March 31, 2025, the free import policy is now extended to March 31, 2026. This change was made under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and relevant provisions of the FTP, 2023. The notification was issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry and is aimed at ensuring the continued facilitation of Tur imports under free trade conditions.

No. M-5012/300/2002/PC-2(A)./E-1657.– In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Import Policy Conditions as under:
