DGFT Reinstates, Amends Input-Output Norms for Stainless Steel Washer Exports
New Delhi: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued a Public Notice dated May 4, 2025, reinstating and amending Standard Input Output Norms (SION) C-888. This specific SION pertains to the export of small and large-size circular Stainless-Steel washers of different grades. SION C-888 had previously been suspended since January 14, 2020. In exercise of powers conferred by the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the DGFT has now brought this norm back into effect with a modification. The amendment specifies that for the export of 1.0 Kg of stainless-steel washers, the allowed import quantity of Prime/Secondary Stainless Steel sheets, sheet cutting, coils, strips, or plates of the relevant grade and thickness will be 1.60 Kg. The notice formally updates the input-output ratio permitted under this specific export norm.

Subject: Reinstatement and amendment of Standard Input Output Norms (SION C-888).
F. No. 01/94/180/007/AM26/PC-4.– In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby reinstates and amends the Standard Input Output Norms (SION C-888) as under:
