Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has announced the expansion of its ‘Source from India’ initiative on the Trade Connect ePlatform (www.trade.gov.in). A Trade Notice (05/2025-26) issued on June 13, 2025, informs all exporters, trade associations, and stakeholders that the ‘Source from India’ micropage hosting service, initially piloted with Three-, Four-, and Five-star Manufacturer exporters, is now available to all Status Holder exporters holding valid Importer Exporter Codes (IECs) that are not on the Denied Entities List (DEL). This feature is designed to serve as a centralized reference point, allowing international buyers to identify and source from Indian exporters. Exporters can create individual micropages to detail their products and entity credentials, which become publicly visible on the ‘Source from India’ page upon approval. Indian Missions Abroad have been instructed to utilize this platform for addressing sourcing inquiries from foreign buyers. Export Promotion Councils and industry associations are urged to inform their members and encourage participation, with detailed registration steps provided in an annexure to the notice. This move aims to further broad-base the availability of Indian suppliers in the global market.
