Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued a corrigendum via Notification No. 21/2025-26-DGFT dated 17th July 2025, amending an earlier notification from 27th June 2025. The correction pertains to the import policy under ITC (HS), 2022 Schedule 1, specifically regarding the port restriction on imports from Bangladesh. The amendment corrects the HS Code listed in Para 19(2)(ix) of the general notes—replacing “HS Code 530010” for ‘Unbleached woven fabrics of jute or of other textile bast fibers’ with the correct code “HS Code 531010”. This update ensures accuracy in the import classification of goods and aligns with the provisions under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023.

Subject: Corrigendum to Notification No. 21/2025-26 dated 27.06.2025 on Port restriction on import of certain goods from Bangladesh to India under ITC (HS), 2022 Schedule 1 (Import Policy)-reg.
S.O. 3290(E). In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following correction in Notification No. 21/2025-26 dated 27.06.2025:-
In Para 19(2) (ix) to General Notes regarding Import Policy under ITC (HS), 2022 Schedule 1 (Import Policy) , notified vide Notification No. 21/2025-26 dated 27.06.2025, the HS Code 530010 for ‘Unbleached woven fabrics of jute or of other textile bast fibers’, may be read as HS Code 531010.
