  2. Amol Pende says:

Similarly, I’ve received a text from them, but I will call to confirm it.

They explained everything to me regarding the process and requirement of updating IEC.

In addition, they told me that they are a private consulting firm, and they charge Rs 1,500/- for IEC updates including government fees.

They updated my IEC within one day. They seem legitimate to me, and I am not concerned.

The choice is yours to update yourself or hire someone to do it; if you hire someone, you have to pay them for their work.

  3. Lavin C says:

Charges for IEC updation is Rs.200/- only.
It can be done via DGFT website.

Fraud SMS also comes to us, from various non government websites

If anyone receives messages from this website, please IGNORE it. Do not follow the messages.
They claim to update the IEC code and will ask for Rs.1,500/- as payment for updation of IEC.

    It is a FRAUD !!!!

Please only update your IEC via the DGFT website.
    Charges are Rs.200/- only.

  13. Roshan Jose says:

No one know what to do… It has become very difficult to do business in India. Can the ‘BABUS’ explain how they or the entrepreneur gain by updating IEC every year.

  14. Mark says:

What is the need for IEC, leave alone updation in addition to GST certificate and PAN. No individual shall import or export without IEC number should be changed to free trade where anyone can import or export even from China. i think it is time for some drastic reforms. Abolish this DGFT altogether.

    1. Mark says:

This is not in tune with ease of doing business. One more harassment for MSME. Now that you have big data (GST, PAN etc) do away with IEC altogether. IEC is a remnant of the pre GST era. Abolish it.
