The amendment is effective immediately and will remain in force until further notice. This revision applies to Non-Basmati White Rice, including semi-milled or wholly milled varieties, whether polished or glazed. Exporters must adhere to the new MEP requirement for shipments. The notification was issued by the DGFT on September 28, 2024, and aims to regulate rice exports while ensuring that it is traded at a fair minimum price.
