This notification appoints the officers of the Directorate General of Anti-Evasion as officers of Customs

Notification No. 31/2000-Customs (N.T.)

G.S.R. NO. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of the section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby appoints the officers of the Directorate General of Anti-Evasion specified in column (2) of the Table below as the officers of customs and invests them all the powers exercisable by an officer of customs of the rank specified in the corresponding entry in the column (3) of the said Table, such powers being the powers of an officer of customs conferred under the said Act.
