Notification No. 45/2003-Customs(N.T.)
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76 A of the Customs Act, 1962 ( 52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby specifies the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone as a “special economic zone”.
2. This notification shall come into force on the 15th day of August, 2003.
Explanation.– For the purposes of this notification, “Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone” means the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone at Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh comprising of the places bearing the Khasra numbers or survey numbers, as the case may be, and enclosed by the boundaries, specified below:-

Duvvada village: | 138 part; 139 part; |
Kurmannapalem village: | 1, 2, 3, 4; |
Jaggarajupeta village of Gajuwaka Mandal: | 2 part, 3, 124 part, 34 part, 35, 36, 37 and 38 part; |
Boundaries: “Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone” is situated in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh lying at a distance of 24 kms. from the port of Visakhapatnam and 15 kms. from the Visakhapatnam Airport;
northern side : | Reserve Forest and Hill Porimboke; |
north east : | Phase II balance lands of Visakhapatnam Special Economic zone; |
south and south east : | Jaggarajupeta private dry lands; |
southern side : | Howrah-Chennai double lane Railway Track; |
south west and west : |
Phase I balance Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone lands, Administrative Building and housing; |
north west : | Phase I balance Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone lands for residential quarters. |
