ADDENDUM TO INITIATION NOTIFICATION
(Anti-Circumvention Investigation – (AC) 02/2018)
New Delhi, the 1st June, 2018

Subject: Initiation of anti-circumvention investigation concerning the alleged circumvention of anti-dumping duty imposed on the imports of “O-Acid”, originating and exported from China PR.

No. 7/14/2018–DGAD.—Having regard to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 as amended in 1995 (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Designated Authority issued a Notification. No. 7/14/2018-DGAD, dated 04 May 2018 initiating an anti-circumvention investigation concerning the alleged circumvention of anti-dumping duty imposed on the imports of “O-Acid”, originating and exported from China PR and its effect on the domestic industry.

2. The following paragraph 3(a) is hereby added to the said Notification:

“3(a). Whereas, in terms of Rule 27 of Anti-dumping Rules, the Authority may, upon determination that circumvention of anti-dumping duty exists, recommend extension of anti-dumping duty to imports of Ofloxacin Ester found to be circumventing the existing anti-dumping duty and such levy may apply retrospectively from the date of initiation of the investigation in accordance with Rule 26.”
