Notification No. 35/2004-Customs (N.T.)

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary so to do for the purpose of the protection of human, animal, plant life and health, hereby prohibits, save otherwise provided under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and the rules made thereunder, hazardous wastes as specified in Schedule-8 of the Hazardous Wastes (Management and Handling) Rules, 1989, issued under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), from import thereof into India and from export thereof out of India.
