Circular No.30/2002-Cus.
6th June, 2002

F.No.446/24/99-Cus.IV
Government of India
Ministry of Finance
(Department of Revenue)
Central Board of Excise & Customs

Subject: General Permission for release of imported currency through Post – Instructions – reg. –

I am directed to refer to Board’s Circular No.23/2002-Cus., dated 26.4.2002 on the above mentioned subject. It has been noticed that a more detailed Circular No.(16/2002-Cus., dated 5.3.2002) covering all aspects of import of currency through post has been issued by the Board. With the result the Circular No. 23/2002-Cus., dated 26.4.2002 issued on the same matter has become superfluous.

2. In view of above, Board’s Circular No.23/2002-Cus., dated 26.4.2002 is hereby rescinded.

3. These instructions may be brought to the notice of all concerned by way of issue Public Notices/Standing Orders. Difficulties, if any, in implementation of these instructions may be brought to the notice of the Board.
