Amends Notification No. 153/2009-Customs, dated the 31st December, 2009 – Exempts goods, when imported into India from the countries as specified in Appendix I, from so much of the duty of customs leviable thereon as is in excess of the prescribed rate.

G.S.R. 716 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 153/2009-Customs, dated the 31st December, 2009 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i) vide number G.S.R. 944 (E), dated the 31st December, 2009, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Appendix I, after serial number 5 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entry shall be inserted, namely:-
