Notification No. 16 /2004-Customs
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby make the following regulations further to amend the Project Imports Regulations, 1986, namely:-
1. (i) These regulations may be called the Project Imports (Amendment) Regulations, 2004.
(ii) They shall come into force on the 9th day of January, 2004.
2. In the Project Import Regulations, 1986, in the Table, after Sr. No.3B and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

|“3C.||Water Supply Projects||
Collector/District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner of the District in which the project is located.”.

Note: The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide G.S.R. 580 (E), dated the 3rd April, 1986 and was last amended by notification No. 37/2003-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2003 [G.S.R. 172 (E) dated the 1st March, 2003].
