Summary: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), through notification F.No. QA-12012/8/2021-QA-FSSAI dated 25 August 2026, has amended the notified list of food testing laboratories issued under Section 43(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The amendment modifies the principal notification S.O. 3648(E) dated 6 December 2016. In the Northern Region, revised entries have been prescribed for Choksi Laboratories Limited, Panchkula and Fare Labs Private Limited (Location 2), Gurgaon in Haryana, and ISSPL Limited, Jaipur in Rajasthan. In the Western Region, the entry for HITECHLAB HEALTHCARE & RESEARCH CENTRE LLP, Ahmedabad has been substituted. In the Southern Region, Vimta Labs Ltd., Nellore has been omitted from Andhra Pradesh; the entry for Monarch Nuclear Counting Laboratory, Chennai has been revised; MSME Testing Centre, Chennai has been newly inserted; and National Commodities Management Services Limited-NCML Labs, Hyderabad has been omitted. In the Eastern Region, Oil Laboratory, Department of Chemical Technology, Kolkata has been omitted, while the entry for N. D. International Lab LLP, Kolkata has been substituted. The notification states that the principal notification had last been amended through the FSSAI notification dated 13 July 2026.
