Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued an amendment to the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. These changes primarily focus on Multi-Source Edible Oils, which are now restricted to being sold in packages not exceeding 15 liters, as specified under the 2011 Food Products Standards and Food Additives Regulations. Additionally, several sub-regulations have been omitted or revised, including the removal of sub-regulation 2.3.8 and specific clauses related to AGMARK certification in sub-regulation 2.3.14. The update also removes certain clauses from Form A and eliminates the requirement for AGMARK certification marks in some food products.
