2G Spectrum case- No suo-moto investigation by Ministry of Corporate Affairs

No suo-moto investigation is being carried out by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs into telecom companies involved in 2G Spectrum case within the Provisions of the Companies Act 1956. However, clarification and/or information are provided as and when requested by other Departments Agencies of the Government.

This clarification has come in the wake of the reports in a section of the media saying that suo-moto investigation into telecom companies involved in 2G Spectrum is being carried out by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
