In a Lok Sabha reply to Unstarred Question No. 118 answered on 20 July 2026, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs stated that the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme (CCFS), 2026, introduced through a circular dated 24 February 2026, came into force on 15 April 2026 and was initially valid until 15 July 2026 before being extended to 31 August 2026 through a circular dated 8 July 2026. As of 13 July 2026, 92,859 companies, comprising 92,826 Indian companies and 33 foreign companies, had availed the scheme. Further, 99 companies had filed Form MSC-1 for dormant status and 11,829 companies had filed Form STK-2 for strike-off. The Ministry stated that State/UT-wise figures are provided in the annexures, including Karnataka with 7,222 companies availing the scheme, 9 MSC-1 filings and 952 STK-2 filings. As the scheme has been extended until 31 August 2026, the number of non-compliant companies is not final and, at this stage, there are no grounds for enforcement action. The Ministry stated that the scheme’s full impact can be assessed only after its completion.
