The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the elections for the 26th Council and 25th Regional Councils will take place on December 6 and 7, 2024. To ensure a fair and orderly election process, the Election Code of Conduct will be published on the ICAI website, outlining instructions and norms for candidates and their representatives. The Code will be in effect from midnight on September 2, 2024, until the results are officially declared. Members are advised to check the ICAI website for updates on Election 2024.

Announcement – Regarding Election code of Conduct for Election 2024
The Election to the 26th Council and the 25th Regional Councils of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is scheduled to be held on 6th and 7th December 2024. In accordance with Rule 16 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to Council) Rules, 2006, and with a view to maintain a healthy and peaceful atmosphere during the election process for ensuring a free and fair election, the Election Code of Conduct for Candidates as approved by the Council shall be published on the Institute’s website.
The Election Code of Conduct shall contain Instructions and Norms to be followed by Candidates and their Authorised Representatives appointed under Election Rules during the entire election process including the polling booth and counting centre.
Please note that the Election Code of Conduct will come into effect from midnight on 2nd September 2024 and will remain in force until the declaration of the results notified in the Gazette of India.
