ICAI announced Constitution of Committee on Electoral Reforms

September, 07th 2009 , The President of the Institute has constituted a Committee on Electoral Reforms, comprising of the following members, to suggest electoral reforms, based on the experience gained in the elections held under the Chartered Accountants Regulations initially and the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 subsequently, suggestions made but could not be incorporated in the existing Rules due to time constraints, experience to be gained from the forthcoming elections and technological changes that are taking place:- CA. G. Ramaswamy, Council member (Chairman)

CA. Uttam Prakash Agarwal, President (Ex-officio)

CA. Jaydeep N. Shah, Council member

CA. Abhijit Bandyopadhyay, Council member

CA. Anuj Goel, Council member

CA. Vinod Jain, Council member

Shri Mahender Kumar, Deputy Secretary, would act as the Secretary to the said Committee.

The aforesaid Committee would submit its recommendations at the earliest.
