Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified the establishment of a new branch of its Western India Regional Council in Gondia District, Maharashtra. The notification, dated August 28, 2025, confirms that the new branch, to be known as the Gondia District Branch, has been operational since August 13, 2025. Its headquarters will be located in Gondia. The branch’s jurisdiction encompasses the entire district of Gondia, specifically including the areas of Gondia, Tiroda, Goregaon, Deori, Amgaon, Salekasa, Arjuni Morgaon, and Sadak Arjuni. As per Regulation 159 (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the new branch will operate under the direct control and supervision of the ICAI Council, with oversight from the Western India Regional Council. It is required to follow all directives issued by the Council.

No. 1-CA (7)/235/2025.—In pursuance of the Regulation 159 (1A) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify the setting up of a Branch of Western India Regional Council in Gondia District (Maharashtra) with effect from August 13, 2025.
The Branch shall be known as Gondia District Branch of Western India Regional Council and its Headquarters shall be at Gondia. The Jurisdiction of the Branch besides the following places shall cover whole District of Gondia: –
1. Gondia
2. Tiroda
3. Goregaon
4. Deori
5. Amgaon
6. Salekasa
7. Arjuni Morgaon
8. Sadak Arjuni
As prescribed under sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 159, the Branch shall function subject to the control, supervision and directions of the Council through Western India Regional Council and shall carry out such directions as may, from time to time, be issued by the Council.
