Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a public notice modifying the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for the export product Di-Ethyl Phthalate (DEP). According to Public Notice No. 6/2025-26-DGFT, dated May 7, 2025, an amendment has been made to the description of a key input material permitted for import under SION A-1294.
Effective immediately, the import item listed at Serial Number 2 under this specific SION has been changed. Previously described simply as ‘Ethanol’, the amended description now specifies ‘Denatured Ethyl Alcohol’. The quantity allowed for import against the export of one kilogram of Di-Ethyl Phthalate remains unchanged at 0.435 kilograms.

F.No. 01/82/0005/AM-26/DES-III.– In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade makes the following amendments in the description of import item at Si. No. 2 in Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-1294:-
