Notification No. 89/2008-Customs (N.T.)

S.O.  (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs (Import), Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva, Raigad, Maharashtra to act as a common adjudicating authority to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on:-

(i) the Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Nagpur;

(ii) the Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Hyderabad-II;

(iii) the Commissioner of Customs, Customs House, Kandla; and

(iv) the Commissioner of Customs (Port-Import), Chennai

for the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating to show cause notice  pertaining to M/s Agarvanshi Aluminium Limited, ‘Agravanshi House, 1-8-32/59, Bapu Bagh, Minister Road, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh  issued vide, F.No. DRI/AZU/INV-6/2006, dated the 31st December, 2007, by the Additional Director General, Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, Zonal Unit, Ahmedabad.
