On June 3, 2023, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released a notification stating that it has removed the names of 573 individuals from its Register of Members. The removal is a result of non-payment of prescribed fees and is carried out in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, and Section 20(1)(C) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. This notification, issued on June 3, 2023, provides details of the removal.

3CCA (4) (1) /2019-2020..—In pursuance of Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, it is hereby notified that in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20(1) (C) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has removed the names of the following persons from the Register of Members of this Institute with effect from 01/03/2020 on account of non-payment of prescribed fees:-
