FSSSAI license requirement deferred till 1st January 2022

Requirement to mention FSSAI License/ Registration number  on receipts /invoices /cash memo/ bills etc. by food businesses on sale of food products deferred till 1st January 2022.

The FSSAI vide its order dtd. 30^th September, 2021 has deferred the applicability of its order dtd. 08^th June, 2021, which made it mandatory for food business operators (FBOs) in the country, to mention their 14-digit FSSAI license/registration number on receipts, invoices or bills on sale of products w.e.f. 1^stOctober, 2021.In view of various representations received by FSSAI, the said order shall now be applicable w.e.f. 01^st January, 2022.

Subject: Mandating the mentioning of FSSAI License/ Registration number  on receipts /invoices /cash memo/ bills etc. by food businesses on sale of food products- reg.

Reference FSSAI order vide no. 15(31)2020/FoSCoS/RCD/FSSAI dated 8th June, 2021 on the above mentioned subject (Copy enclosed).

2. In view of representation from various Industries Association &  Stakeholders, it has been decided with the approval from Competent Authority that the enforcement of said order will come into effect from 1st January, 2022.
