OVER VIEW

Day by day the population is increasing and land holding reducing, since time immemorial, man has learnt how to grow plants under natural environmental conditions. In some of the temperate regions where the climatic conditions are extremely adverse and no crops can be grown, man has developed methods of growing some high value crop continuously by providing protection from the excessive cold, which is called as Greenhouse Technology. The future of Indian farming in India is protected cultivation with multiple solutions of today’s problems in our agriculture.

Green House Plantation

Production in greenhouse is technology and technique of providing favourable environment to grow the plants. It is rather used to protect the plants from the adverse climatic conditions such as wind, cold, precipitation, excessive radiation, extreme temperature, insects and diseases.

It is also of vital importance to create an ideal micro climate around the plants. This is possible by erecting a greenhouse where the environmental conditions are so modified that one can grow any plant in anyplace at any time by providing suitable environmental conditions with less water, less human labour and less expenses Greenhouse cultivation as well as other modes of controlled environment cultivation has been evolved to create favourable atmosphere, which favours the crop production could be possible round the year production (even off season) of vegetables, flowers and fruits.

Greenhouses are framed by inflated structure of Galvanized Iron, covered with a transparent U.V. stabilized plastic film material in which crops are grown under controlled environment conditions. The design of our green house is based upon sound scientific principal facilitates for plants growth.

Greenhouses and other technologies for controlled environment plant production are associated with the off-season production of ornamental and foods of high value in cold climate areas where outdoor production is not possible. The primary environmental parameter traditionally controlled is temperature, usually provides heat to overcome extreme cold conditions.

However, environmental control can also include cooling to mitigate excessive temperatures, light control either shading or adding supplemental light, carbon dioxide levels, relative humidity, water, plant nutrients and pest control.

Greenhouses are used for growing flowers, vegetables and fruits. And often use for nurseries of Seedlings / saplings of fruits, vegetables and flowers are grown in greenhouses in late winter and early spring, and then transplanted outside as the temperature becomes favourable.

Green House technology is highly relevant under Indian condition due to variant agro-climatic condition of the country. The list of advantages includes providing favourable micro climatic conditions for the plant, cultivation in all seasons is possible, higher yield with better quality production, less irrigation, suitability for cultivation high value croup and even off –season crops also, good control of pest and diseases, helping in raising early nurseries, round the year propagation of planting material production of the crops from wind, rain, snow, bind, hail etc.

Features:

Galvanized Iron Pipe Structure.

Roof ventilation and side wall ventilation system with curtain. Structure cover by UV stabilized polyethylene film.

Shading by thermal net

Insect net and Shade net for protected from insect

Advantages of greenhouses:

Off- Season Crop production possible.

The yield may be 2 to 10 times higher than that open cultivation. (Its depend type of greenhouse, type of crop, environmental control facilities and type of seeds)

Reduction labour cost then opens farming.

Fewer requirements of water, compost, chemicals, pesticides. Effective use of less water, compost, chemicals, pesticides. Easy to operate, maintenance and controlling.

Pests and diseases control fast and easy.

Crop favourable and controllable ecological system. Easy adoptable modern technology of farming.

NATURALLY VENTILATED GREEN HOUSE / POLY HOUSE

Green house having vent at top and at side is called Natural Ventilated Green House. Through top roof vent and side vent the airflow continuous reduce the inside temperature. The top roof vent is designed with anti rain overlap for protection croup from inflow rain, and fixed by fully insect proof insect net also.

The Naturally ventilated greenhouse can be mechanically or naturally ventilated for thoroughly ventilation for control of temperature. Mechanical ventilation requires exhaust fan and electricity to operate. Well-designed mechanical ventilation is able to provide adequate cooling for a wide variety of weather conditions throughout many locations in the India.

Natural ventilated greenhouse Structural Technical Features

Foundation: Foundations are aligned by theodolite and dumpy level. Levels of concrete are maintained as per slope required resulting proper resting of main column on the concrete. Anchoring Foundation column, Formation level of Greenhouse are perfectly maintained in concrete ensure resting of main column on concrete.

Shape: Aerodynamic shape along on periphery is given to drift away wind flow and minimize the wind impact on the sides of Greenhouse to ensure maximum strength of structure against wind. Column runs up to top of the Greenhouse to ensure maximum strength to the structure.

Joint: G.I. Pipes structure with Hinge Joint with G.I. Pipe members are joined to each other’s by means of clamps, angle brackets & nut bolts which ensure more strength against the vibration caused by wind. And all the fixtures are made from hot deep galvanized like Clamps; Nut Bolts are used for installation.

Other things: – Gutter, Side Curtains, Flap control & Curtain Runners,

Bottom chords, Aluminium Gripper, Corridors

FORCED VANTILATED GREEN HOUSE

FORCED VENTILATED GREEN HOUSE

Forced ventilated green house is called fan & pad green house, use of the forced ventilation for greenhouse cooling and air humidity regulation purposes, a controlled environment for growing exotic crops and plants. Fan & Pad green house is with fans for draw air into greenhouse through cooling pads and humidity controlled through foggers system.

Fan & Pad green house is ideal for nursery and also suitable for exotic crop like Rose, Gerbera, carnation, colour capsicum, cucumber and cherry tomato etc.

Subsidies:-

Subsidies

The National Horticulture Board of India (NHB) provides assistance to avail subsidy benefits for green house projects. The subsidy application files with necessary required documents to be filed with the NHB department for providing subsidy assistance. Farmer can get encourage to take up such big investment project with the support of the government subsidy. The subsidy will decrease capital investment cost of project and help to the farmer to survive in the competitive market.

Governments run supporting programs and encourage to development of commercial horticulture i.e. Green House; both the Government of India and the respective state governments are providing various subsidies to supports the farmers. The green house is project is covered by the scheme of Development of Commercial Horticulture through Production & Post Harvest Management of the National Horticulture Board, Ministry of Agriculture, and Government of India.

It provides capital Subsidy of @ 50 % of the project cost, which shall be kept in a separate account by the bank and credited to the loan account at the end i.e. while making the final repayment of the loan.

Role of Cost & Management Accountants:-

There is huge potential in high-tech agriculture considering the fact of increasing population and demand of food grains. The irrigation facilitation and Traditional farming consume more resources like water, and manpower for cultivation .it also requires huge working capital for continuous farming. The green House structure once installed in agriculture land will be continue to 15 to 20 years with recurring cost like, water, seed/ Plants, fertilizers, pesticides etc.

We can advise to farmers by using our professional expertise in selecting High Profitable product to be grown in green house. There is customised environmental facility to grow varieties of Vegetables and Flowers which cannot be grown in open environment. This gives 35 % average return on investment with Tax exemptions.

The Cost & Management Accountant can also help to farmers in deciding no of Acers land to be deployed for Green house. We can also help in Preparation of Project Report, explaining Advantages & disadvantages to aspiring farmers & others. The most important is availabity of finance to farmers & others; hear we can use our professional expertise in having discussion with banks for finance to needy farmers.

The agriculture is backbone of Indian Economy by virtue of that India is known as Agricultural country .but due to lack of updated/high teach knowledge farmers are selling land & moving to cities for employment .That is creating overpopulation, overcrowded to urban cities the main reason of insufficient rainfall in some states of India. Now there is needed to turn unorganised sector in organised sector with new ideas, technology in development of High tech agriculture. This will bring down inflation and rats also for vegetables/flowers and will bring improvement in our economy as well as financial status of farmers & there families.
