Amendment in GST

be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the GST (Goods and Services Tax) Council has invited amendments from the various States/UTs for GST implementation from next financial year, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether any amendments has proposed by the States/UTs in GST Council Meeting and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the GST Council has not considered the suggestions made by the Andhra Pradesh Government in relation to Service Tax and GST; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor along with the steps taken to resolve the issue?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN MINISTRY OF FINANCE
(a) The Model GST Laws was first put in the public domain in June 2016. Several representations/suggestions were received on the draft Model Law which have been duly examined and revised. These included inputs from representatives of the State Governments. The revised Model GST Laws have now been put in the public domain on 26 Nov 2016.
(b) to (d) The Draft GST Laws are listed to be taken up for consideration by the GST Council in the 5th GST Council Meeting scheduled for 2-3 December, 2016. A final decision of Draft GST Laws shall be taken by the GST Council after due deliberations.
