PUBLIC NOTICE No. 78 (RE-2008) /2004-09

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 10TH SEPTEMBER, 2008

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I):

2. The following new paragraph shall be added in Handbook of Procedures Vol.I:

Para 2.37A: Import authorizations for a restricted item if so directed by the competent authority, shall be issued for import through one of the sea ports or air ports orICDs or LCS, as per the option indicated, in writing, by the applicant. Authorization holder shall register the same at the port specified in the authorization and thereafter all imports against said authorization shall be made only through that port, unless the authorization holder obtains permission from customs authority concerned to import through any other specified port.

3. This issues in Public Interest.
