NOTIFICATION No. 64 (RE-2007)/2004-2009

NEW DELH DATED 24th December 2007

S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2004-2009, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in FTP, 2004-2009 (RE2006) & FTP (RE2007).

2. The words ‘(including SEZ units)’ is added in the Para 3.10.2 of FTP, 2004-2009 (RE2006 & RE2007) after the words ‘to all countries’.

3. The words ‘or supplies made to such units’ in the Para 3.10.2.2 (b) of FTP, 2004-2009 (Updated as on 19.4.2007) is deleted.

This shall take effect from 1.4.2006.

Consequently it is clarified that DTA units supplying goods from DTA to SEZ units, being physical exports, are eligible for benefits under Focus Product Scheme for exports w.e.f 1.4.2006 provided payment for such supplies is received in free foreign exchange by applicant DTA units.

This issues in Public interest.
