Notification No. 7 (RE-2005)/2004-2009, dated 4th June 2005, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), amends the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. The amendment inserts a proviso in Para 3.7.2, which requires that the FOB (Free On Board) value of exports during the licensing year 2004-05 must not be lower than the FOB value of exports in the previous licensing year, including those under Para 3.7.5. This change ensures that export performance does not decline year-over-year, maintaining consistency and encouraging growth in export activities. The notification is issued in the public interest to regulate and monitor export performance within the prescribed guidelines.

NOTIFICATION No. 7 (RE-2005)/2004-2009
S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (issued on 01.09.2004):
1. In Para 3.7.2, the following shall be inserted as proviso, namely:
“However, it shall be necessary that the FOB value of exports (including the exports under Para 3.7.5 below) during the licensing year 2004-05 does not fall below the FOB value of exports (including the exports under Para 3.7.5 below) in the previous licensing year.”
