NEW DELHI: 20th  July, 2000

S.O  (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade  (Development  and Regulation) Act, 1992  read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby bans sale of Tea by Export Oriented Units(EOUs) and units in Export Processing Zones (EPZs) in Domestic Tariff Area (DTA), not withstanding anything contained in paragraph 9.9 and 9.10 (b) of  Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.

This issues in Public Interest.
