Hero MotoCorp Limited, the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, announced a significant year-on-year growth in dispatches for October 2026. The company recorded a total of 734,403 units dispatched, marking a 16% increase from the 635,808 units in the same period last year. This growth was driven by robust performances across both the internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) segments, as well as a healthy retail momentum reflected in VAHAN registrations of 589,665 units.

VIDA, Hero MotoCorp’s emerging mobility business unit, showcased impressive growth with dispatches reaching 30,143 units and a remarkable 80% year-on-year increase in VAHAN retail registrations. The market share for VIDA in the electric two-wheeler segment rose to 13.6% in October 2026, up from 11.1% the previous year. The brand’s festive campaign, featuring prominent actors Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, further bolstered its market presence and was recognised with two awards at the AdAura Awards 2026.

The domestic ICE business also demonstrated strong performance with 675,017 units dispatched, a 14% increase from the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by the demand for scooters and 100cc motorcycles. Hero MotoCorp expanded its premium segment offerings with the launch of the new Xtreme 160R 4V and Xtreme 250R models, enhancing its appeal among premium motorcycle consumers. The company also engaged customers with its festive campaign ‘HERO SANG TYOHAR HAI HAR KAHIN’, which featured innovative marketing strategies.

On the global front, Hero MotoCorp dispatched 29,319 units in October 2026, maintaining strong retail momentum in key international markets such as Colombia and Bangladesh. The company continues to strengthen its global portfolio with upcoming launches in the scooter and premium motorcycle segments.

Analysts note that Hero MotoCorp’s strategic focus on both ICE and EV segments, coupled with its international market expansion, positions the company well for sustained growth. The company’s investments in electric mobility and strategic alliances with global brands are expected to further enhance its competitive edge in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
