Bajaj Auto Limited has released its sales figures for September 2026, revealing a mixed performance across its domestic and export markets. The company witnessed a decline in domestic sales but experienced a significant boost in exports, contributing to an overall increase in total sales for the month.

In the two-wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto’s domestic sales fell by 12% compared to September 2025, with 239,771 units sold. However, the export market showed robust growth, with sales rising by 34% to 211,723 units. This surge in exports helped the two-wheeler segment achieve a 5% increase in total sales, amounting to 451,494 units.

The commercial vehicle segment also displayed positive growth, with domestic sales increasing by 5% to 54,685 units and exports rising by 17% to 32,264 units. The combined sales in this segment reached 86,949 units, marking a 9% improvement over the previous year.

Overall, Bajaj Auto’s total sales for September 2026 stood at 538,443 units, reflecting a 5% growth compared to the same month last year. The domestic market, however, saw a 9% decline in total sales, while exports surged by 32%, highlighting the company’s strong performance in international markets.

For the year-to-date period from April to September 2026, Bajaj Auto reported a 24% increase in total sales, with domestic sales rising by 7% and exports by a remarkable 47%. The two-wheeler segment contributed significantly to this growth, with a 24% increase in sales, while the commercial vehicle segment also saw a 24% rise.

Analysts note that while the domestic market faces challenges, Bajaj Auto’s strategic focus on expanding its export footprint is yielding positive results. The company’s ability to capitalise on international demand has been a key factor in offsetting domestic sales declines, positioning it well for future growth in the global market.
