DGFT Extends Minimum Import Price on Virgin Multi-layer Paper Board till 31 March 2027

Summary: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition applicable to specified items covered under Chapter 48 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy), up to 31 March 2027. The extension is issued under Sections 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The notification continues the MIP condition originally imposed through Notification No. 26/2025-26 dated 22 August 2025 and subsequently extended through Notification No. 69/2025-26 dated 31 March 2026 and Notification No. 14/2026-27 dated 30 April 2026. The extension is also issued with reference to Policy Circular No. 04/2025-26 dated 3 September 2026. The MIP of INR 67,220 per MT on Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value applies to imports of Virgin Multi-layer Paper Board (VPB) under ITC (HS) Codes 48059100, 48059200, 48059300, 48109200 and 48109900. The condition has been extended for six months, up to 31 March 2027, with all other terms and conditions remaining the same as those prescribed in Notification No. 26/2025-26. DGFT’s earlier Policy Circular No. 04/2025-26 had clarified the applicability of the MIP on Virgin Multi-layer Paper Board imposed through Notification No. 26/2025-26.

Subject: Extension in Minimum Import Price (MIP) Condition of specific items covered under Chapter 48 of ITC HS, 2022, Schedule -I (Import Policy)-regarding.

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended from time to time, and in continuation of Notification No. 26/2025-26 dated 22.08.2025, Notification No. 69/2025-26 dated 31.03.2026, and Notification No. 14/2026-27 dated 30.04.2026 read with Policy Circular No. 04/2025-26 dated 03.09.2026, the Central Government hereby extends the Minimum Import (MIP) condition of specific items covered under Chapter 48 of ITC HS, 2022, Schedule -I (Import Policy), for a period up to 31.03.2027 with all other terms and conditions remaining same as in the Notification No. 26/2025-26 dated 22.08.2025.

Effect of the Notification: Minimum Import Price (MIP) @ INR 67,220 per MT on Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value, imposed on import of Virgin Multi-layer Paper Board (VPB) under ITC (HS) Codes 48059100, 48059200, 48059300, 48109200 and 48109900 has been extended for a period of six months i.e. up to 31.03.2027.

This is issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
