FSSAI Amends Food Analyst and Laboratory Notification: 17 Omissions and 56 New Entries

Summary: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), exercising powers under sub-section 5 of section 10 read with section 45 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, has issued a notification dated 14th September, 2026 amending its notification F.No. 12015/05/2021-QA published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4 on 2nd July, 2021. The amendment omits serial numbers 04, 14, 67, 136, 162, 188, 227, 237, 274, 275, 281, 290, 309, 313, 321, 327 and 343 from the table of Food Analysts and laboratories. It further inserts entries numbered 353 to 408 after serial number 352, thereby adding 56 Food Analysts and their associated laboratories. The newly inserted entries cover laboratories and testing facilities in Chennai, Bangalore, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Kerala, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Vadodara, Maharashtra and other locations. The list includes Food Analysts associated with Monarch Biotech Private Limited, SMS Labs Services Private Limited, SGS India Private Limited, VJS Phytosanitary Service Private Limited, CES Analytical & Research Services India Pvt. Ltd., Fare Labs Private Limited, Scientific Food Testing Services Private Limited, Qualitek Labs Limited, Envirocare Labs Private Limited, National Test House, Hitechlab Healthcare & Research Centre LLP, Audentes Labs & Analytics Private Limited, Delhi Test House, N. D. International Lab LLP, Accurate Universal Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Gujarat Testlab Private Limited, Omega Test House Pvt. Ltd., QC Lab Shriram Food & Pharma Research Centre, Eurofins Analytical Services India Pvt. No. 12015/05/2021-QA.— In exercise of the powers conferred under subsection 5 of section 10 read with section 45 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following amendments in the notification number F.No. 12015/05/2021-QA published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, dated 2nd July, 2021, namely: –

In the table,

1. Serial number 04, 14, 67, 136, 162, 188, 227, 237, 274, 275, 281, 290, 309, 313, 321, 327 and 343 shall be omitted;

2. After serial number 352, the following entries shall be inserted in respective columns, namely: –
