There are many presumptive income schemes for small businessmen engaged in civil construction, transport business, retailers etc. A person covered under these schemes can declare his income under these sections on presumptive basis and can get himself free from the requirement of maintaining regular books of accounts u/s 44AA.

The party if it feels that such recording of statement of fact is wrongly recorded it is incumbent on its part to approach the said judge promptly and without any delay or before the same feeds the memory and to invite the attention of the said judge that there is an error.

Foreign passport holders can''t represent India in sports: HC

The Delhi High Court today said People of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cannot represent India in international sports events saying they owe their allegiance to their adopted countries. Upholding the Centre”s policy of not allowing people of Indian origin holding foreign passport to represent the country in a sports event, Justice S Muralidhar said that as long as governemnt does not recognise dual citizenship in all aspects, foreign passport holders should not be permitted to play for India in international events.
