There has been advancement in the technology in the field of manufacture of ‘Briefcases/Suitcases/Beautycases’. Due to advancement in the technology, the Poly Carbonate (PC) is being used in place of ABS/other polymers, to provide higher impact strength. These amendments enable import of required raw materials for exports of ‘Briefcases/Suitcases/Beautycases’ made up of Poly Carbonate. Public Notice No. 73/(RE-2010)/2009-2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by Para 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Public Notice No. 44 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 31.03.2011 read with (i) Public Notice No. 36 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 01.03.2011 and (ii) Public Notice No. 37 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 08.03.2011 relating to procedure for export of 1,50,000 MTs of Non Basmati Rice( Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba & Matta rice varieties).
Over the period, in respect of certain import items pertaining to above two SIONs, improvement in consumption has been observed. Accordingly, quantity allowed for such items has been reduced.
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes an addition in the heading of Appendix 4D of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I (Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms) 2009-2014, as described in para 2 below. Last such addition was made in Public Notice No.58/2009-2014 dated 30th June, 2011.

DEPB benefit on export of ‘Cotton’ was withdrawn vide Public Notice No. 45 (RE 2010)/2009-14 dated the 31st March, 2011. Exports made on or after 01.10.2010 will now be entitled for DEPB benefit under DEPB entry Sl. No. 22D of the Product Group ‘Miscellaneous’.
DEPB benefit on export of ‘Cotton yarn including Melange yarn’ was withdrawn vide Public Notice No. 57/2009-14 dated the 21st April, 2010. Exports made on or after 01.04.2011 will now be entitled for DEPB benefit under DEPB entry sr. No. 78 of the Product Group Textiles.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 (FTP) and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I), 2009-14 (HBPv1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment at List of Items covered under the Tariff Rate Quota Scheme under Para 2.59 of Handbook of Procedures Vol-1, 2009-14.
Through Public Notice No. 55(RE-2010)/2009-14 of 17.06.2011, close date for document submission, scrutiny and issue of registration certificate for export of cotton was notified as 15.07.2011. Requests have been received for extension in view of strike/holidays in Bangladesh and disruption of work in Mumbai. Hence, close date is extended by one week up to 22.07.2011. There is no other change in Public Notice No. 55(RE-2010)/2009-14 of 17.06.2011. The last date of export remains 15.09.2011.
(i) Description of the export product under these two SIONs have been modified. (ii) There is no other change. The number of inputs, their description & quantity permitted remains the same. The only change is in the name of export product in respect of both SIONs
