In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following corrections / amendments in HBPv1 (including Appendices and ANFs) with immediate effect.
The description of Import Item No. 7 of SION A – 1691 (export product: Nylon Bicycle Tyres) is amended from ‘Nylon Fabric’ to read as “Relevant Nylon Tyre Cord Fabric”. There is no other change in this SION.
While consolidating different items under Appendices certain errors have been noticed in terms of Sr. No., Product Description etc. These errors are being rectified. Secondly, due to harmonization of ITC (HS) Codes, new Codes with description have been mentioned which would be eligible for incentives under Appendix 37A & 37D.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Directorate General of Foreign Trade hereby modifies the existing SION No.A 2337 by correcting the typing error in the description of import item “Hydrocal Cement”. Earlier, it was typed as “Hydrocol Cement” and it is now being corrected to read as “Hydrocal Cement.
The post of Indirect Tax Ombudsman has been created with the objective of enabling resolution of complaints relating to grievances against Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax Department and facilitating settlement of such complaints with satisfaction of the complainant. Para 10 (III) of ‘the Guidelines’ explains as to who can come up with complaint or grievance to the Ombudsman.
This amendment incorporates additional raw materials in existing SION at H-97. Additional Import Items namely PP Granules, LLDPE Granules, PP Granules for lamination/coating, PE Liner, Thread, Filler Cord/Rope, Packing Materials have been allowed at Serial Number 2(b) (ii), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 respectively.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby amends para 2.13.2.A, 3.6.1, 3.10.3, 3.11.7, 3.11.8, 4.19, 5.10 and 5.23 of the Handbook of Procedures Vol I (RE 2012)/ 2009-14. This will be deemed to have come into effect on 5.6.2012.

Public Notice No. 10 (RE-2012)/2009-2014 Earlier the requirement of affixing barcodes on Secondary level and Primary level packaging was to come into effect from 01.07.2012 and 01.01.2013 respectively. Now this time limit is being extended by 6 months each.
