In an attempt to simplify and streamline the process for incorporation of companies, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) introduced the formation of the Central Registration Center (CRC) by issuing a notification on January 22, 2016 (CRC Notification). The CRC has been established to facilitate smoother functioning and fastening the processing of incorporation applications, it is expected to look into the applications for name availability (INC-1 e-forms) submitted online across the country and to process the same by the end of the very next working day.

The requirement of filing declaration by a company before commencement of business or exercising its borrowing powers has been dispensed with under the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2015. Accordingly companies are no longer required to file e-form INC-21 with the Registrar through MCA portal. (Source- MCA)
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has introduced a new integrated e-form INC-29 w.e.t 1st May. 2015. INC-29 will provide applicants a facility to avail of the following services through a single e-form: (i) Allotment of Director Identification Number; (ii) Name of a company; and (iii) Incorporation of a company.
Earlier the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (‘MCA’) had released various e-Forms by the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Amendment Rules, 2014 vide Notification No. G.S.R. 297(E) dated 28 April 2014 with effect from 28 April 2014. The MCA has made further amendment in Rule 10 by the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Amendment Rules, 2015 vide Notification dated 24 February 2015.
