In this Exposure Draft, the International Accounting Standards Board (Board) proposes narrow-scope amendments to IFRS 3 Business Combinations. The amendments would update a reference to the Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting without changing the accounting requirements for business combinations. Updating the reference without making any other changes to IFRS 3 could change the accounting requirements for business combinations because the liability definition in the 2018 Conceptual Framework is broader than that in previous versions.
Paragraph 5.7.1 of Ind AS 109 requires a gain or loss on a financial asset that is measured at fair value to be recognised in profit or loss – though there are some exceptions to this general requirement, these are not applicable in the case under discussion.
The Auditor’s Certificate is mandatory only in case of return of deposits. For filing particulars of transactions not considered as deposits information contained therein as on 31st March of that year need not be from the duly audited Financial Statement.

Recently many of the newspaper circulating in Surat city have published a news in which they claimed that a person namely ‘Manish Pachhigar’, who was arrested with Asst. Charity Commissioner, Surat in alleged bribery case of Rs. 75000/- is a Chartered Accountant. While as a Matter of fact ‘Manish Pachhigar’ is not a Chartered Accountant and he is not holding degree of Chartered Accountant. ICAI Surat (WIRC) has taken strong objection to reporting by Newspapers of ‘Manish Pachhigar’ as a CA and have conducted a Press conference on 12th June 2019 and issued a press release to them to issue clarification in this regard.
