In pursuance of Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify that the Common Proficiency Test will be held on Sunday, 19th June, 2016 in two sessions as below, at the following centres provided that sufficient number of candidates offer themselves to appear from each centre.
Candidates who have applied on or before 1st April, 2015 for Common Proficiency Course registration with Regional offices of the Institute / Online but have not yet been issued registration number, can also apply for admission to CPT June, 2015 examination on Provisional basis;
Admit cards in respect of all candidates admitted to the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) June 2014 examination, with their photographs and signatures on them, are hosted on www.icai.nic.in. Candidates may print their admit cards from the said website. For downloading/printing of the admit cards, candidates will have to enter the following details on the site:

In partial modification of the Institute’s Notification No.13-CA (EXAM)/CPT/ June/2013 dated 2nd January, 2013, it is notified for general information that the last date of receipt of duly filled Common Proficiency Test application forms, through online or otherwise, shall be 25th April, 2013, instead of 24th April 2013 (a gazetted holiday) as announced earlier.

The following categories of students shall be exempted from passing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT):- (A) Graduates or Post Graduates in Commerce having secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognised University (including Open University) by studying any three papers of 100 marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting;
