The Directorate of Income-tax has informed vide letter dated 27.08.2012 that the Finance Minister has approved utilization of 1% incremental revenue earned during F.Y. 2009-10 amounting to Rs, 80.63 crore. The amount has to be utilized for enhancing organizational efficiency, infrastructure and wherewithal. The Officers have been requested to forward their suggestions for utilization of the funds by 15th September, 2012. It has been clarified that the funds will be used for schemes that result in enhancing organizational efficiency, infrastructure and wherewithal of Income Tax Department and not for welfare schemes of employees.

    I have done bsc in chemistry. I have also completed welingkar mba last year. I am very much interested in going for the “Tax return prepare” scheme and work for income tax department. can I apply? Pls. tell me where to find application form and what is process. Will there be training center in pune? How long will be the training and cost of training? thanks much for your help and guidance

    It is a total wastage of money.Strict accountability,corruption free mind and respect to the law and rights of a citizen are required to implanted in the minds of the officers.It is rally surprising that an officer who never had any background of accounts and the law is given a chair and power to decide on the accounts and the the law.A rickshaw driver is asked to fly a plane. Imagine the condition of the passengers.That is the position of the Indian assesses.
