The Income Tax Department today conducted raids at various places, including the residence of NCP leader Sudamati Gutte whose family has a large industrial base.
According to sources, raids were carried out at more than 35 places in the district, the details of which are yet to be known.
Sources said the offices of Gutte and her husband Ratnakar M Gutte at Kaparkheda, Chandrapur, Gangakhed and Nagpur district were raided simultaneously.
The Gutte family has a large stake in Sunil Hitech Engineers, a limited company listed on stock exchanges.
Beed IT officials declined to disclose any details, saying that they have yet not completed the raids.
