Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two government officials in separate bribery cases on October 3, 2025. In the first case, the CBI trapped and arrested an Auditor/Personnel from the Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA), CGDA, Gandhinagar for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs. 4 lakh (later negotiated to Rs. 3.5 lakh) to clear a supply order file worth Rs. 2.5 crore for a private company. The official was caught red-handed accepting Rs. 3.5 lakh. In the second, separate case, the CBI arrested the Chief Office Superintendent (O.S.) of the Divisional Railway Hospital, Nanded, who was caught demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 to process a pending bill and performance guarantee related to a housekeeping and cleaning contract. Searches were conducted at the premises of both arrested officials, and further investigation is ongoing in both matters.

CBI Arrests Two Govt. Officers in two Separate Cases of Bribery
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Auditor/Personnel of Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA), Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Gandhinagar (Gujarat) and Chief Office Superintendent (O.S.), Divisional Railway Hospital, Hingoli Gate, Nanded, in two separate cases of bribery.
In the first case, it was alleged by the complainant (Proprietor of a private company) that the accused Auditor/Personnel of Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA), Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Gandhinagar (Gujarat) demanded Rs. 4 Lakh (2% of CCTV Air Force, Pune base amount of the Bid value of Rs.2.5 Crore) of undue advantage to clear the file to issue Supply Order.
CBI laid a trap on 30.09.25 and caught the accused Auditor/Personnel of Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA), Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Gandhinagar (Gujarat) while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 3.5 lakh.
The accused was arrested and produced before Spl. Judge, Pune after taking the transit remand from Spl Judge, Ahmedabad and has been remanded to Police Custody till 04.10.2025.
The second case was registered by CBI on 29.09.2025 against the Chief Office Superintendent (O.S.), Divisional Railway Hospital, Hingoli Gate, Nanded on allegations that he demanded undue advantage of Rs. 25000/- from the complainant for clearing the work of processing of pending bill of Rs.91,576/- and Performance Guarantee of Rs.1.25 Lakh pertaining to the Housekeeping and Cleaning Contract in respect of a private company where the complainant is employed. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 20,000/-.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000/- at his home in Nanded. Later, the accused was arrested on 29.09.2025.
CBI conducted searches at the residential and official premises of both the accused.
Further investigation is underway.
